about julie

Julie is an experienced and highly qualified teacher. The classes are friendly and taught in a relaxed atmosphere. Her practical and intuitive approach to teaching leads students to a deeper experiential understanding of body, mind and breath.

Julie has been practising yoga since 1978, becoming an introductory teacher in 1997 and gaining the full junior intermediate qualification in 2004. It is her policy to constantly update her knowledge and maintain standards by working with senior teachers. This includes regular trips to Pune, India to be taught by the Iyengar family and work under their guidance in the therapy classes there. She has a particular interest in the benefits of yoga and the therapeutic role it can play for a variety of health conditions.

As Julie’s family has grown up she has taught yoga to a variety of groups: from pre-school through to secondary school, sport clubs and in the work place. Julie has been invited to venues all over Scotland as a guest teacher for workshops.
